Oscar Radebe
Programme Head - Gophelega
Dr Oscar Radebe currently serves as the Programme Head for Wits RHI’s Gophelega PEPFAR/CDC funded District Support Programme in the Tshwane and Ekurhuleni Health Districts. In this role, he provides strategic and technical input and oversees program-supported activities.
Dr Radebe holds a Bachelor of Medical & Surgical Degree (MBBCh) from the University of the Witwatersrand (2002) and is an HIV Specialist PEPFAR Fellow in Infectious Diseases from the University of Pretoria (2010). He has over 10 years of experience as a Project Director at FHI360 and has worked as a Senior Clinical Advisor and medical consultant, providing technical and medical expertise in the field of HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases.
He actively participates on numerous Technical Board Committees at the National Department of Health and various Technical Working Groups. He is a member of the Johannesburg AIDS Council (JAC), the South African HIV Clinicians Society, and the HIV Research ‘Think Tank’ Group of HIV specialists. Dr Radebe is a published academic with significant experience in conducting complex clinical network trials and community cohort studies.
