Jabula Uzibone Study: Implementing Transgender-Specific HIV Care Models
Improving HIV Care for Transgender People. The Jabula Uzibone Study looks at how combining HIV care with gender-affirming services can help transgender people (TGP) access and stick to HIV prevention and treatment. The study is following 670 transgender individuals for one year to understand their experiences with healthcare in South Africa. The study team is also interviewing healthcare workers to learn about their views on caring for transgender people and exploring the cost of offering transgender-specific care.
