Wits RHI Shines at AIDS 2024 Conference in Munich

From 22-26 July 2024, Wits RHI’s expert teams took center stage at the AIDS 2024 conference in Munich, Germany. The event, themed “Put People First,” brought together 15,000 global leaders, scientists, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and people living with HIV.  The action-packed program featured over 40 oral abstract sessions, 50 invited-speaker sessions, 20 workshops, 17 pre-conferences, 30 symposia sessions, 100 satellite sessions, and 2,200 posters.

Our team proudly showcased groundbreaking research and advancements in person-centered HIV services and care through a diverse range of activities, including pre-conferences, satellite sessions, symposia, global village events, workshops, invited talks, poster presentations, and oral abstract sessions.

The conference concluded on 26 July 2024, with the International AIDS Society (IAS) announcing Beatriz Grinsztejn from Brazil as the new IAS President. The 13th IAS Conference on HIV Science, IAS 2025, will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 14-17 July 2025, with pre-meetings on 13 July.
