Project PrEP Excels at INTEREST Conference 2024

Wits RHI’s Implementation Science programme, particularly Project PrEP, showcased its prowess and innovation at the esteemed INTEREST Conference 2024, held in Cotonou, Benin. Represented by the capable Hlologelo Ramatsoma, the Project PrEP team made significant contributions that underscored Wits RHI’s commitment to advancing HIV prevention strategies in South Africa and beyond.
The INTEREST Conference, renowned for its focus on HIV treatment, pathogenesis, and prevention research, welcomed a staggering 1,237 abstract submissions. Among these, 759 abstracts were accepted, highlighting the rigorous selection process. Wits RHI’s Project PrEP took center stage with two abstracts earning inclusion in the prestigious 18th Abstract Book of the conference. One of these abstracts was also selected for a poster presentation, adding to the team’s accomplishments and visibility on an international platform.
