On 7 May 2024, Prof Sinead Delany-Moretlwe, Director of Research at Wits RHI, joined other prominent experts in an International AIDS Society (IAS) webinar. This virtual event provided insights into the latest global trends in sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the status of Doxycycline post-exposure prophylaxis (DoxyPEP) and its relevance for women, advancements in gonorrhoea vaccines, and the broader implications of DoxyPEP implementation, using San Francisco as a case study.
